Learn how to overcome WORKPLACE ABUSE with the Organization End Workplace Abuse

Learn where End Workplace Abuse has been,
where we're going,
and how you can help

We know collaboration, strategy, action, and personal responsibility to the all-volunteer effort are what it will take to pass protections for workers to have psychological safety. Collective action is the tool of social change.

We've been working hard to bring about that change:

  • Leaders in roughly 26 new states and cities are working to introduce the Workplace Psychological Safety Act in 2025. And they've been busy! Our Michigan team, led by Amanda Treppa, ran an event in Detroit to build awareness and get the attention of legislators (Hill Harper of CSI: NY supported it!). Our Washington, DC, team made the news not once but twice for the work of mother-daughter duo Kim and Cassi Williams. We'll announce new states and cities with a virtual rally in the new year. 🎉
  • We created two PSAs, spoke at seven HR conferences about the bill, appeared on 17 podcasts, secured press mentions in 10 outlets, and brought on 10 organizations to endorse the bill.
  • We introduced a business/organizational pledge.
  • We started support services with a hope to expand them in 2025.
  • We trained new volunteers.
  • We consolidated our websites.
  • We re-drafted the Workplace Psychological Safety Act.
  • We launched our monthly speaker series (join us for the next one on Demystifying Healing from Workplace Abuse) to help you get tips on navigating and healing from workplace abuse while we raise funds to expand our reach.

PS - There are 5 simple ways you can help:

  1. Share social media posts.
  2. Post the flyer above (English and Spanish) in local cities, especially outside toxic workplaces (bring 10-20 copies with you). Take a photo, post to social media, and tag with the name of the city and @endworkplaceabusenow.
  3. Write to your state legislators about workers' rights bills in your state.
  4. Take legislative action — and spread the word.
  5. Donate so we can spread the word even more through printed marketing materials at events

Workplace Bullying Project

I just had the pleasure of meeting with the Workplace Bullying Project's founder Lauri Lilli. What a breathe of fresh air for this lawyer. I am so weary of having to tell people I can not help them if they are still employed - because the employer has not taken that final "adverse employment action" or because though they are being horrifically bullied it is not illegal discrimination under the law.  There are no employment police you can call to show up at your workplace and make your boss, manager, supervisory or co-worker stop targeting, undermining, or backstabbing you. The law provides you the right to fight for damages only after unlawful (discriminatory) workplace actions have risen to a certain level of severity or pervasivenes. The case law defines a hostile work environment as harassment that changes the conditions of your job. It must be either severe or pervasive. In almost all cases it must also by based on some discriminatory an...
